Hi Reader, Most of the CEOs I’ve advised and coached over the years have been men. That is simply where the work took me. In the world of founders and CEOs, we all know women are still outnumbered. Male or female, I’m passionate about advising founders to think through sales strategy, build repeatable processes, forecast accurately, win bigger deals, hire the right go-to-market leaders, and grow revenue without relying forever on heroic founder effort. But throughout those years, I noticed something. The founder CEOs who were women stood out. Not because they were less capable. Quite the opposite. Many were extraordinarily capable. They were sharp. Resilient. Resourceful. They could walk into a sales call, lead a board conversation, make tough financial decisions, recruit a great leader, and still somehow remember what their child needed for school the next day. But so many of them were carrying something extra. Not just real revenue responsibility. Real life. The company they founded needs them to lead revenue. Their employees need direction. Their sales team needs coaching. Their stakeholders need updates. Customers need confidence. The next quarter does not care whether someone is exhausted, in perimenopause, coordinating family logistics, caring for aging parents, trying to protect a relationship, or wondering when she last slept through the night. And too often, there is no one in the room who truly understands. A board member is not a peer. A coach is not a peer. Even a wonderful mentor is not a peer. What many women need is another woman carrying that kind of weight right now. Someone who understands that you can be grateful for your family, proud of the company you built, excited about your future, and still overwhelmed by the sheer responsibility and cognitive load you carry. They need a place where they can be real and no one is judging. I have watched this go unaddressed for years. I’ve lived it. Now I’m doing something about it. I’m building the room I wish more of those women had. It’s called Revenue + Real Life™. It is a new community for female founder CEOs building innovative and technology-driven companies. It is especially for women who are past the earliest startup stage, often five or more years in (maybe even 10 or more), generating meaningful revenue, still actively involved in selling, and working to build a strong sales organization or lead the one they have. You are carrying the responsibility of turning the company you created into a company that can truly scale. You may have raised capital. You may be bootstrapped. You may be building software, an AI company, a marketplace, a services-enabled technology business, or a fintech, healthtech, femtech, or cybersecurity company. You may also be building something that does not fit neatly into a category yet. What matters is this: You are leading revenue. You are no longer just “the founder who sells.” You are becoming the revenue leader your company needs. And you are doing that while living a full human life. Inside Revenue + Real Life™, we will talk about the things that belong in the same conversation but are usually separated:
This will include online roundtables, focused sprints, mentoring from women who have actually built and led, and a community of female founder CEOs who do not need the whole story explained before they understand why it matters. I am still building it, and I am ridiculously excited about what it can become. For now, there is no landing page. But if this sounds like you or sounds like a woman you know who is carrying a company and a whole lot more, hit reply or forward this. If it’s you, tell me you are interested. Tell me what stage you are in. Tell me what you are carrying. You can also follow me on LinkedIn, where I will be sharing more as Revenue + Real Life™ takes shape. I’m building a room for reality. I hope the right women find it. To Your Sales Success, Alice Heiman P.S. This is not a community for women who hope to start a company someday although that is wonderful. It is for women already doing it. Selling, leading, hiring, making hard calls, and trying to build a meaningful company without losing themselves in the process. |
