Welcome to Sales Talk for CEOs, a show where Alice Heiman interviews successful CEOs who have successfully scaled their B2B sales organizations. In each episode, we get to know the sales background of each CEO, dig into the strategies they've used to build their sales organization and wrap it up with what the future holds. We cover the good, the bad and the ugly of scaling a sales organization in order to deliver to you: value and insights.

Hi Reader, There comes a point in a founder’s journey when selling can no longer be something only you do. It has to become something you lead. But even bigger than that, you need to lead revenue. You may still be the best closer in the company (even after 5 or 10 years). You may still know the customer better than anyone. You may still be deeply involved in the largest opportunities, the toughest negotiations, the executive relationships, the product feedback, and the decisions that determine whether the company hits its number. It’s ok. Especially in a company that has grown because you were willing to get in the room, ask hard questions, hear what buyers really need, and do what it took to earn the business. But eventually, “I sell” has to become “I lead revenue.” That transition is hard. You have to build a repeatable sales motion without losing the founder magic that got you here. You have to decide what to hire, when to hire, and who can actually sell rather than simply interview well. You have to create a forecast you can trust. You have to know which deals are real, which ones are stuck, where you are relying too heavily on hope, and what needs your direct attention. You may be hiring your first sellers. Or a head of sales. Or trying to determine whether the person you hired is truly building an organization, or just operating as another individual contributor. And while all of that is happening, life does not pause. That is why I’m building Revenue & Real Life™, a community for female founder CEOs of AI, innovative and technology-driven companies who are leading real revenue growth and want a smarter, more sustainable way to do it. This is not for someone who merely wants to start a company one day. It is for the woman who has already built one. She is in it. Her company has customers. She may still be involved in day to day selling, likely growing a sales team, perhaps has raised money, and is now facing the very real challenge of scaling beyond herself. She can afford to invest in the support she needs because she understands the cost of getting this stage wrong. And she does not need another generic founder community. She needs peers who understand the specific intersection of revenue leadership and real life. Revenue & Real Life™ will be built around four conversations 1. Revenue Leadership as the Founder 2. From Founder Selling to a Go-to-Market Organization 3. Revenue and the Rest of Your Life 4. Time, Energy, Health, and Community as Revenue Assets The annual community will include online gatherings, office hours, peer roundtables, mentoring, introductions, focused sprints, and more. Founding membership will begin at $997 annually. For founders ready for a deeper level of work, I am planning the first cohort program for January 2027, 25 women working together online, along with two in-person events. That intensive cohort will be a bigger investment and will focus deeply on the transition from founder-led selling to revenue leadership and scalable go-to-market growth. Before then, I will be hosting roundtables, at least one focused sprint, and a half-day online launch summit. I also have eight exceptional mentors who have already committed to this work, women who have built, led, navigated pressure, and understand what it takes. Follow us on LinkedIn to learn who they are. If you are reading this and thinking, “Finally, something built for me,” I would love to hear from you. Here’s the landing page to learn more. And if you are not the woman I am describing, please forward this to a female founder CEO who is. She may be carrying more than you know. She may also be ready for a room built for exactly this moment. You do not have to choose between being serious about revenue and being honest about the life you are leading while you build it. That is the room I’m building. To Your Sales Success, Alice P.S. If you want to follow the build in public, connect with me on LinkedIn. I’ll be sharing the mentor announcements, roundtable details, launch-summit information, and the real conversations behind Revenue & Real Life™ there. |
